Smartphone pictures privacy risks

As agents in today's internet marketing we take and upload pictures from all over.  It's important that we protect our clients and our own families when we take pictures and videso and upload them to the web.  Smart phone picutres  can be a privacy risk unless handled correctly.  Many of you already know this, but these 2 videos will remind you of the improtance of turning off your GPS locator on the pictures that you take.  Watch these 2 videos by NBC News and ABC:

OK you say.  Now I know about smart phone privacy risks.  That's all and good but just how can I turn off in my phone settings?  Luckily there are sites helping you thru the process like ICanStalkYou.com.  They walk you thru settings of some popular smait phones.  Still confused?  Visit you phone provider for assistance with your specific phone.

As a real estate photographer, I like having a location embedded in the EXIF data.  It helps with organizing photos by location and is especially helpful with aerial photos.

Stan and Paul.  When I watched these, I stopped and adjusted my phone too.  Especially since we had the serial killer here in Baton Rouge we have become much more cautious.

Lee, I understand why you like those geographic links, but I guess convenience and safety may be trade offs to consider.
