Tablet PC's The New Age or a Dinasour?

I am reposting this as I just figured out how to go back and edit my blog.  :-)  Some commented that I need to establish a link so the group can be found.  Hope you join and share ideas!

I did a quick search for tablet pc in blog comments and found several who are interested in the subject, so I created a group.  I would like to invite those of you who have experinece and those of you wishing to share your experiences as you have them to join this group.

Join the Group-Tablet PC's The New Age or a Dinasour?

So far I have found it helpful in listing presentations where I use the wireless connection and set it on a table in someones home without having to find connections.  They visually see our commitment to technology.

Ann, we have no experience with the tablet pc, but would also be interested in what ever information you and your group come up with.

Ann - I believe that Tablet PCs are the new age.  It shows volumes to our clients when we use our Tablets to do presentations and signing documents right on the PC.  I've had mine for only 3 months and have enjoyed learning the many new things that can be done with the Tablet.

Ann- I've had a tablet pc for a couple years now.  I loaded the full version of  Adobe Acrobat on the pc and have used it to create true "paperless transactions".  The clients sign the forms right on the tablet and you can then turn them to pdf and send copies to all parties to the transaction. It has cut significant admin time from the transaction and people (especially over 40) are amazed and impressed.

Can you summarize the main differences between a regular laptop and a tablet? I'm in the market for a new computer and very interested in the advantages/disadvantages a tablet might have compared to a laptop.

Ann I am on my second tablet pc.  I really like using a table.  i don need to carry a printer & paper.  I have every form I need with me at all times.

Bud a tablet pc allows you to write right on the screen just like it was a tablet of paper
