While I was out there Twittering this morning, one of the Tweets I was following posted a good article for those of you who are like me,...just trying to figure out how to do this and what it's value is. Justin Seeley Seeley Media. in Baton Rouge shared this article from the New York Times. Twittering Tips for Beginners. One of the examples that was used got me started thinking that it's all in the way we apply Twitter. In the example a legal group sent out a Twitter asking if anyone had done something before. They got back 2 responses of examples where it had been done. I think our challenge in real estate is to use Twitter as a powerful tool to tap in on the knowledge and resources in our community and even out world at large!

i'm still trying to figure twitter out. I hated it at first... now I'm growing warmer on it.
I'm still trying to figure it out too. Lots of info to sift thru; but I have gotten some good blog material + have tapped into some local info sites that keep me informed what's happening in our city.
I'm also not quite sure I understand the whole twitter concept. I keep hearing great things about it though. I must check it out.
Mark, I think it works best for those who can keep a screen open at their computer or for those who check emails & tweets a least once an hour from their PDA. Otherwise the volume is hard to keep up with. Or...sometimes I just skip a time period and look at my @replies where people commented to me directly. Still learning.
I am using twitter now, new to twitter. Like the post above, I am not sure if I understand the concept also. You get to see some good post sometimes.
Lisa, As you use it more I think you'll get more of a feel for it. I just used Twitter to send out a message about a council zoning meeting later this evening. It would have been too late to get the message out via email for most people. And I didn't have a group I wanted to text.
